The Etude is a class AB, fully balanced design conservatively rated at 150W in 4 Ohms, and can be bridged to deliver 300 watts. It has both balanced and unbalanced inputs and is available in black or silver finish.s.

The design for Étude is based upon multi-feedback and dual feed-forward error-correction amplifier technology that intelligently adjusts and compensates the individual linearity of the 250-watt lateral structure high-power proprietary MOSFETs. Internally there are three individual high frequency switch mode power supply units, one for each active power rail and a final for the auxiliary rails. When paired with advanced internal shielding, active cooled plenum chamber design, and custom Chord Electronics MOSFETs, you have Étude, an world class extremely fast crystal clear amplifier.

NEW SPENDOR A7 NOW AVAILABLE!

The A7 loudspeaker by Spendor
Spendor’s new A7 loudspeaker

The Spendor A7 is a major revision of the highly acclaimed Spendor A6R floor standing loudspeaker. It is loaded with trickle-down innovations from Spendor’s award-winning D7 loudspeakers. The new A7s offer substantial improvements in dynamics, resolution and low frequency articulation. The slim modern linear-form cabinet is styled and dimensioned to fit easily and unobtrusively into any living space.

A re-engineered crossover brings significantly improved driver integration and a vivid, dynamic, but always natural, sound. The crossover network has precision wound high-linearity tapped inductors which avoid distortion and allow very fine tuning of frequency and phase response. As a result the A7s deliver transparency and a coherent balanced sound rarely found in loudspeakers at this price-point.

A new 22mm silk dome wide-surround tweeter gives stable low distortion response over a very wide frequency range. The unique diaphragm profile delivers a smooth extended high frequency response over a very wide listening area. The tweeter has a protective mesh grille.

QUTEST WINS HI-FI CHOICE EDITOR’S CHOICE AWARD

Chord’s Qutest is a great sounding digital converter – indeed spectacular at the price. You’ll have to spend a lot more money than this to find a DAC that does any better…(And that may mean “DAVE”!)
