The Norwegian Electrocompaniet AW 800 M power amplifier is NEWLY LAUNCHED AT HIGH-END MUNICH 2022
Electrocompaniet has announced the official release of three new products at the High-End Munich Show 2022 including the new flagship Electrocompaniet AW 800 M power amplifier. (See The Sound Advocate’s initial AXPONA summary’s here!
The new products debuting at the High-End Munich show are the Electrocompaniet 800 M mono power amplifier, the Rena S2 streamer, and the Rena SA2 streamer amplifier plus a remote control for all products in the EC Living line.
ELECTROCOMPANIET AW 800 M POWER AMPLIFIER
The AW 800 M is Electrocompaniet’s brand new, from the ground up re-engineered flagship power amplifier. It replaces the AW 600 NEMO as their most powerful Monoblock power amplifier.
An interesting new feature of the AW 800 M is the ability to switch between mono, stereo, and bi-amping operating modes, enabling you to upgrade your system or change your configuration while retaining your initial investment.
The amplifier encompasses an updated, yet distinctive design that is a perfect match for all current and legacy Electrocompaniet products, and it is fully designed and manufactured in their factory in Norway.

ELECTROCOMPANIET RENA SA2 AND S2
The Rena SA2 is the second generation of Electrocompaniet’s DAC / streamer/Amplifier, based on the in-house developed EC software engine. The Rena SA2 features support for Tidal Connect®, Spotify Connect®, Qobuz, Airplay 2, DLNA/UPnP, Bluetooth® and it is ROON Ready®.
It also has a Summit wireless WiSA® chip, enabling it to connect to WiSA compatible wireless speakers, including the Electrocompaniet Tana L2 and Sira L1 subwoofer. As an addition to this, it has a 2x75W power amplifier, while also featuring new speaker terminals, a new touch-button system, and an updated DSP. The Rena S2 streamer/DAC includes all the updates included in the Rena SA2.
EC LIVING REMOTE
The new Bluetooth remote is suitable for all products in the EC Living series, both current and legacy products. This remote features up to 3 preset radio favorites. The EC software engine will also be updated, with an option to enter custom radio URL’s into all the EC software engine products, to cater to stations not generally available.
