There seems to be something for everyone at Audio Advice Live. For home theater enthusiasts Sony will be partnering with Monitor Audio for a demo room that will be sure to impress. They are featuring the Sony GTZ-380 laser projector.

Audio Advice Live 2023

This laser projector is one of the best on the market putting out up to 10,000 lumens of brightness, but Audio Advice wanted to take it to the highest level by adding the new madVR Envy Extreme MK2 video processor to the mix. I use madVR processing software on my media pc when watching videos so I can attest to their quality.

Combined with a Stewart 170” film screen this combination is sure to be impressive. The highly rated Trinnov Altitude 16 processor does the audio processing. Rounding out this system will be the new Monitor Audio Cinergy speaker system. There will also be much more for home theater enthusiasts as I have included a list of highlights below.

  • Storm Audio, Barco, & Focal Kanta 9.6.4 Kanta Home Theater
  • Bowers & Wilkins 9.4.6 Custom Theater Series Home Theater
  • Denon & Definitive Technologies Dymension 9.4.6 Home Theater
  • Devialet Phantom Home Theater
  • Sony & KEF 7.4.4 Q-Series Home Theater
  • SVS 5.2.2 Prime Pinnacle Home Theater
  • JVC & Goldenear 7.2.4 Home Theater
  • Samsung & JBL Synthesis 9.4.4 Home Theater
  • KEF & Epson gaming experience, including a 3-screen gaming rig

Opening day will end with a kickoff and concert featuring a state-of-the-industry keynote address from Audio Advice CEO Scott Newman. This will be followed by a concert featuring the high-energy good-time, band Love Tribe. While the home theater exhibits should be quite exciting, they certainly did not forget 2-channel enthusiasts like us.

While this list will display highlights of the show there is much more to experience. One of the missions of this show is to bring in industry experts to hold seminars and how-to clinics. There will be a home theater-based clinic on Friday the 4th with industry experts that will discuss the best practices for designing a home theater system, from constructing the room to choosing components, installation, and speaker placement.

Saturday the 5th will feature two seminars, with one on the future of home theater video. It will cover new technology in video from HDR to the resolution of displays and more. There will also be a seminar on the 5th that talks about the trends in high-performance audio. This seminar will discuss high-definition audio, the latest advancements in speaker technology, and the future of the music production landscape.

On Sunday the 6th all exhibits will be open and the final seminar will be held. The last seminar will be exclusively about vinyl playback and turntable must-haves. Audio Advice’s founder and vinyl lover Leon Shaw among other vinyl experts will be discussing the format and how to get the best playback possible.
